Adam Joseph Copeland (born October 30, 1973) is a retired professional wrestler and actor, best known for his time with WWE under the ring name Edge.

Copeland was trained by former professional wrestlers Sweet Daddy Siki and Ron Hutchinson. Throughout the 1990s, he wrestled in North American independent promotions early in his career. During his time in these promotions, he competed in singles and tag team competition, the latter with Christian, his storyline brother. In 1997, Copeland signed a developmental deal with the WWF and began competing for the company later that year; he made his televised debut the following June under the ring name Edge. In July 1999, he won the WWF Intercontinental Championship at a house show in Toronto, making it his first title reign with the company. He and Christian went on to win the WWF Tag Team Championship on seven different occasions. During this time, they gained notoriety in the tag team division, partly due to their participation in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches.

Overall, Edge won 31 championships in WWE, including eleven world championships (the WWE Championship four times and the World Heavyweight Championship a record seven times), five Intercontinental Championships, one United States Championship, 14 world tag team championships (a record 12 World Tag Team Championships and two WWE Tag Team Championships), and is one of only three wrestlers (Kurt Angle and Big Show being the others) who has held every currently active male Championship in WWE. He also had an unofficial co-champion reign with Mick Foley as Hardcore Champion (which would put his title count to 32.) In addition to his championship accolades, Copeland won the 2001 King of the Ring tournament, the first Mr. Money in the Bank in 2005 and 2007 when he defeated Mr. Kennedy, which he is also the winner of the match to reclaim and cash in the contract, thus becoming the first to cash in and win both world titles; and the Royal Rumble match in 2010, making him the only wrestler in history to achieve all three of those accomplishments. He headlined many major pay-per-view events for WWE, including WrestleMania XXIV.

Aside from professional wrestling, Copeland has appeared in the 2000 fantasy film Highlander: Endgame and made guest appearances on television shows, including The Weakest Link, Mind of Mencia, Deal or No Deal, Haven, MADtv and made his movie debut as a leading actor in WWE Studios' Bending the Rules.

Edge was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his long-time friend and tag team partner Christian on March 31, 2012.

WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Goldust def. Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins and The Usos

               It was a family affair once again at WWE Hell in a Cell 2013, as Cody Rhodes & Goldust successfully fended off the challenge of The Shield’s Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins and The Usos to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship. The brothers emerged victorious from a frenetic match Sunday night after Cody Rhodes pinned Seth Rollins following a Cross Rhodes.

The sons of WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes looked like a well-versed cohesive unit, despite having teamed on only a handful of occasions. Goldust also further demonstrated why he deserves his spot on the WWE roster, using his veteran experience to control the early goings of the contest.

The Shield made the hectic pace of Triple Threat Match rules work to their advantage, however, using quick tags to sneak into the ring and blindside their opponents. Tagging into the bout and steamrolling over Goldust, Roman Reigns put himself and Rollins firmly in the driver’s seat; the destructive duo proceeded to cut off The Bizarre One from not only his partner, but from The Usos as well, leaving him susceptible to The Shield’s all-out assault.

With Reigns taunting the veteran competitor, the WWE Universe begged for Goldust to tag in his younger brother. They got their wish as he finally reached Cody, who sprung into action with a beautiful missile dropkick. A frantic sprint among all three teams ensued, one that twice saw The Usos nearly leave Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena with the championship. Though their speed and agility continued to disorient the competition on several occasions, the anything-goes nature of Triple Threat Matches ultimately worked against The Usos on this night.

Cody capped off the mad three-team dash after suplexeing Rollins off the top rope and onto every other competitor in the match, leaving an awestruck AmericanAirlines Arena crowd with its collective jaw on the floor. Emerging from the dogpile first, The Usos looked to end the bout, but were unable to tag in and make themselves the legal men. The Shield soon knocked the twin brothers out of the ring, but Seth Rollins then turned into the staggering right hand of Goldust and took a trip down Cross Rhodes. A jubilant WWE Universe was on its feet as the official counted three, and Cody Rhodes & Goldust stood tall with the WWE Tag Team Titles still in their possession.
